The conference series "AAA - Workshops on General Algebra" is a series of scientific conferences that was founded by Rudolf Wille in Darmstadt in 1971. Since then, there have been 103 conferences in this series, organized in Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland, Serbia, Switzerland, Hungary, Slovakia, Finland, Luxembourg, Italy and Estonia.
The conference AAA104, which is the 104th workshop in the AAA series of workshops on general algebra, will be organized by the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the South-West University “Neofit Rilski”, Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. The venue of the event will be the University Center "Bachinovo" in the foothills of Rilla Mountain, near the city.
The conference provides opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and application experiences, to establish research relations and to find global partners for future collaboration.

PROGRAM:
During the conference a broad range of research and applied topics will be presented and discussed, covering the fields of (but not limited to):
• Universal Algebra
• Semigroup Theory
• Algebraic Structure Theory
• Lattice Theory
• Applications in Computer Science
The program consists of 50-minute invited lectures and a larger number of 20-minute contributed talks.

TRAVEL INFORMATION:
First, you should travel to the capital of Bulgaria - Sofia:
• by plane to Sofia Airport
• by bus to Sofia Central Bus Station
• by train to Sofia Central Railway Station

From the airport you can reach the Central Bus Station / Central Railway Station by metro or taxi:
• by metro - take the metro train and change the line at the Serdika station, where you should take the line 2, direction Obelya (Обеля). Get off at the Central Railway Station – the second stop after the Serdika Station.
The ticket price is 1,60 BG leva (about 0,8 euro). The travel time from the airport to the central bus station is about 50 minutes, depends on the waiting time for the change at Serdika Station.
• by taxi - if you decide to use a taxi, please use only OK Supertrans taxi. Order the taxi from their office in front of the arrivals exit - https://www.oktaxi.net/en. Be careful because there are fake taxis with logo close to the logo of OK Supertrans. The price to the Central Bus Station / Central Railway Station is about 10-13 euro, depending on the traffic.

Once you are at the Central Bus Station or Central Railway Station in Sofia, you have 2 options to travel to Blagoevgrad.
• by bus - there are regular bus lines from Sofia to Blagoevgrad. The bus schedule is available here. The price is 12 BG leva (about 6 euro). You do not need to buy tickets in advance. The travel time is between 1:30 - 2:00 hours, depending on the traffic.
• by train - the schedule you can find here. The price of the ticket is about 8 leva (4 euro). You do not need to buy tickets in advance. The travel time is between 2:00 - 3:00 hours, depending on the train type.

Blagoevgrad Bus Station and Railway Station are close to one another. The distance from the bus / railway station to University center “Bachinovo” is about 9 km. From there you have 2 options to travel to our venue.
• by taxi - you can get a taxi directly from each of the stations, for the biggest part of the day there are a few taxis in front. If not, you can always order a taxi from https://www.oktaxiblgrad.net/. The price to University center “Bachinovo” is about 10 - 12 BG leva (about 5 to 6 euro), depending on the traffic.
• by University bus - on Thursday (08.02.2024) we will organize a University bus for the participants of the conference from the parking of the Railway Station to University center “Bachinovo” at 15.00 and 18.00 local time.
